Hey everybody!!!

The time to commit is now!!!

We have to provide a final count to the hotel very soon. We can not count anyone that hasn't paid yet. Even if you RSVP'd through classmates or facebook, you need to pay to be counted!!! So, if you are planning on coming to the reunion, please pay your money now! If you send a check, please shoot me a quick email at binghamclassof89@gmail.com to know that it's coming so we don't miss it. Please also let me know if you are coming to the family picnic and if so, how many people you are bringing. Also, if you are bringing a partner or spouse, please provide their name for the name tags.

If you have friends that are coming, please encourage them to pay today! It will be a fun reunion and you don't want to miss out! Some of you may be thinking that you don't want to bother going or you don't care to see anyone, but from the feedback I've had from other classes, people are so glad they went. It's a once a decade opportunity to catch up with old friends and acquaintances. The committee has had a lot of fun getting together to plan this and it has been so fun reuniting with people and getting to know people that we didn't know in high school. We've all grown up and matured a lot. And, we have some very funny classmates and funny old stories to tell.

So...if you're sitting on the fence...get off and come to the reunion! It'll be a blast!

Class of '89 rocks!!!

Help a classmate!!!

One of our classmates, Denise Kaplanis, is very sick and is not doing well. Some of you may remember that Denise and I were joined at the hip our Freshman year. As you can imagine, I was sad to hear about Denise. I just feel terrible about what she has to go through.

She has been diagnosed with Sjogren's disease. Sjogren's is an auto-immune disease in which a person’s white blood cells attack his or her moisture-producing glands. Today, as many as 4 million Americans are living with this disease. It affects mostly women. Denise's sister keeps a blog to update us on Denise's illness. At this point in time, the Dr's in Utah are not able to help her much anymore. Her family is trying to get her back to the Mayo clinic to see what else they can do for her. They are accepting donations to help with this. Please check out her blog to read up on Denise and get donation information. I am not sure what all they need to get Denise back to the Mayo clinic but you can contact her sister Alicia to get more information. Even if you are not able to donate, they appreciate your comments and words of encouragement. Please keep Denise in your thoughts and prayers.
